Royal Enfield Super Meteor has landed @ Biker Torque

We finally have our hands on the new Super Meteor from Royal Enfield. First impression of this bike is overwhelmingly positive. Comfort, style and bucket loads of character sum it up nicely.
Why is it that Royal Enfield can get the comfort of their seats so right, when other, more expensive brands seem to struggle with this. Horsepower and tech are great, but if you want your customers to spend hours enjoying their bike, make the seat comfortable. The Super Meteor 650, just like it's little brother the Meteor 350 has a seriously well padded seat that and rider ergonomics that make eating up the kms a breeze.
The engine is the same one found in the Interceptor and Continental GT so it's tried and tested. But this time it's been dropped in a brand new chassis, with the over engineered engine as a stressed member, presumably to reduce some weight. This is a good thing as the bike is already substantially heavier than the other two twins in the range.
The finish is excellent for a bike in this price point as is quite easily the best finished bike that Royal Enfield have ever produced. LED lighting and Showa suspension really highlight that Royal Enfield is serious about being the dominant player in the mid-capacity market.
We've got the bike for a few weeks to review so be sure to check us out on YouTube to hear our thoughts on the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.
