The New Beeline Moto II: Simple, neat and works every time

For the past few months, I've have been testing the new Beeline Moto II Black on the streets of Sydney.  It’s safe to say that Beeline have listened to their customers and have now produced the best turn by turn navigation pod on the market (well at least in my opinion).

I really liked the original Beeline Moto and have been using it for over 4 years.  One of the first things I noticed about the Beeline Moto II is that it’s slightly bigger than the original, and although plastic, it does feel solid and built to last.  There are of course two metal options also available.

The new display is a standout feature. It's easy to read, even in bright sunlight. It’s clear, crisp and means that you can quickly glance at your directions without losing focus on the road.

The user interface is intuitive which makes the device easy to use.  Basically download the app, charge it up, pair it to your phone and away you go. You navigate the Moto II via the buttons on the top and bottom that are built into the case.  They are easy to use, even with a pair of winter motorcycle gloves like I was wearing recently on a ride up to Newcastle, about 2 hours north of Sydney.

The new model retains all the functions of the original Beeline, such as turn-by-turn navigation, but with some exciting new additions. By far the biggest  improvement is the inclusion of a small map that helps the navigation experience, providing more detailed and accurate directions.  You still get prompts for distance and a turn indicator but the map is particularly useful where there may be two turns in close proximity.

One of the things I wasn’t aware of with the new Beeline Moto II was the audio and LED  prompt.  There are two two very bright  LED's at the top that light up when you are near a turn and there is also a beep from the device, that I could hear when riding at slow speed in traffic, but not so much when travelling at speed on a motorway.  I didn’t test it, but you can also connect the Beeline Moto II to the bluetooth in your helmet if you have one to get the audio prompt through there also.  But personally for me, I didn't bother with this as what I like about the original Beeline and indeed the Moto II is that it is not distracting, allowing me to listen to the beautiful boxer rumble from the BWM R12 that I was on for review.

The Beeline Moto II includes a compass and speedometer, adding to its versatility.

Another big improvement is the inclusion of a USB-C port. You can now charge it with any standard USB-C cable so you are always ready for your next ride. A new optional powered mount is a fantastic upgrade, offering a seamless and secure way to keep your device charged on the go.

Overall, the Beeline Moto II represents a significant step up from its predecessor. It's robust, easy to read, and incredibly user-friendly, making it a great tool for any motorcyclist.

We have all variations of the Beeline Moto II in stock and ready to ship from our studio in Sydney.  We are also stocking some of the accessory mounts, but if there is one you are after that we haven’t listed just get in touch.
