Deb's 1973 BMW R60/5 - A restored classic
Share
I really love it when I see old bikes given a new lease of life. I love it even more when it's one of my favourite models, a BMW airhead. These old BMW's are reliable but also a really stylish and classic motorcycle. They make a great base for a cafe racer build, which I'm not opposed to, but it is lovely to see one restored and un-molestered.
Deb, owned the bike from the mid-80s but family commitments and being a young mum meant she gave riding away in the early 90s. Fast forward to 2019 and it was time to get her R60/5 back on the road. She engaged a local mechanic to do the restoration but was heavily involved in the process herself, researching and ordering parts. For Deb' full story head over to our YouTube channel.
